Where to stay?
In Bangkok, every tourist will find suitable accommodation for themselves. A modest hostel, spacious apartments, a luxury hotel or even a small bungalow.
You can book a room at Oriental Residence Bangkok (st. Wireless Road, 110). It is located in the center and is considered the most popular hotel among tourists. On its territory there are 3 large gyms, an outdoor terrace with a swimming pool, a spa and a special lounge area for doing signature Thai massage. The interior of the rooms is made in the same style: calm colors, the use of ceramics, marble and wood for decorative elements. Some bathrooms have panoramic windows, from where you can see almost all of Bangkok.
Ibis Bangkok Sathorn (st. Soi Ngam Duphli Rama IV) is located in the business district. The interior is laconic: a large double bed, wardrobe, TV and air conditioning. From 08:00 to 12:00, free breakfast for guests is served on the ground floor. A 5-10 minute walk to the Chao Phraya River, the largest river in the country, and the famous night market with local cafes.
700 meters from the center, you can book Hyde11 By Joseph apartments (st. Sukhumvit Soi, 11). A big plus is that the rooms have equipped kitchens and separate living rooms with TV and air conditioning. In the backyard is a small terrace with an outdoor pool. The Central Embassy shopping center is 1.7 kilometers away, and the picturesque Arab Street is 1 kilometer away.
Pay attention to Citadines Sukhumvit 11 (Soi Sukhumvit, 11). This is the perfect place for rest and relaxation. The spacious rooms have everything you need. The hotel has a separate large kitchen and home cinema. It features a rooftop pool with a lounge area, a gym and a spa. Every day, a free shuttle runs from here to the Nana BTS station.
The Park Saladaeng Guest House (st. Soi Yommarat, 35/2) is conveniently located. It is a 5-minute walk to Saladaeng Station, and Lumpini Park is a 10-minute walk. The rooms have air conditioning, period furniture and a private bathroom. The interior is dominated by pastel colors and materials made of stone or wood.
Where to go?
On the first day, go to the Grand Palace. This is the former royal residence of the XVIII century, where official ceremonies are held. Nearby stands the Temple of the Emerald Buddha with its sculpture of jade. At the entrance rise two bronze lions.
Across the road from them is the Temple of the Reclining Buddha of the XII century. Inside is a statue of the Reclining Buddha, 46 meters long. You can order an individual tour, where the guide will tell in detail about the facility.
On the opposite bank stands the Temple of the Rising Sun, where it is better to come at dawn or at sunset. At this time, the rays illuminate the facade and everything shimmers with golden light. You can get here by ferry, which departs from the numerous marinas. The road takes less than 5 minutes.
Finish the day at Sky Tower. This is one of the tallest buildings in Bangkok. Climb to the observation deck, which is located on the 77th floor. It is best to go in the evening to watch the sunset.
Start the second day with a walk in the territory of the temple of the Golden Mountain. You can take a bus number 15 or rent a car to save time. The temple is located on the top of the mountain, so you have to go 300 steps. From here you can enjoy an amazing panorama of the whole of Bangkok.
Going downstairs, visit the temple of Loja Prasat entirely of metal. Nearby is a cafe with local food and a souvenir market. From the temple you can go to the Monument of Democracy, in the direction of the Grand Palace.
On the third day, take a look at Siam Square, the main shopping and entertainment complex of Bangkok. There are cinemas, restaurants, fashion boutiques, games, climbing walls, a fitness center and even your Disneyland. If you want to visit the traditional Asian market, go to Chatuchak, where you can buy almost anything. Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 17:30.
