Saint Julian’s is a small town near Valletta, the capital of Malta. There are always many young people. This town also has different language camps where you can study English. In old buildings, there are leisure facilities: restaurants, clubs, casinos.
The weather of Saint Julian’s is fair at any time of the year. Beach season lasts from May to September. In early spring, late autumn and winter it is not a very popular destination among tourists. During the off-season, you can enjoy the slow-paced life of the locals in a calm atmosphere.
What to see in Saint Julian’s? In the centre, there is the wonderful Palace of Spinola who founded the town. It was the building of the XVII century that became the starting point of Saint Julian’s. Step-by-step, bastilles were built to protect the town from pirates. Unfortunately, nowadays the castle is closed to the public but it is possible to have dinner in the restaurant built on its ground floor. One more amazing architectural masterpiece is Dragonara Palace. According to the legend, this region of Malta was inhabited by dragons — thus, this magnificent building got such a name. You can visit Dragonara Palace if you are a keen player of poker game or roulette. Nearby there are defensive installations with the Saint George’s Tower.
The town has suffered wars that is why nowadays there are not so many historic buildings. If you want to explore Saint Julian’s culture and nature, rent a car with a driver and go for a drive along the coast. Valletta is 8 km away from the town — its architectural ensemble is protected as the UNESCO World Heritage. The trip to Malta will stick into your memory for a long time. Travel with comfort!
