Zde se můžete setkat s úžasnými východy slunce a západy slunce, zkusit skákání na obloze nebo plavání s mořskými želvami v oceánu. Nejodvážnější turisté se potápí na dno s potápěním, aby viděli útesové žraloky, které mají délku až 100 cm.

Ostrov má mnoho národních parků a rezervací. Zajímavostí je informační centrum Rafflesia, kde roste tato největší a vzácná květina. Nejnavštěvovanější jsou park "Kinabalu" na úpatí hory stejného jména a "Bako" s útesy, jít dolů do moře.

Jak se pohybovat po ostrově? V Borneu, populární autobusy a minibas. Od 7:30 do 22:00 jezdí městský autobus mezi velkými městy a okolím; Místní autobus jezdí z centra do vzdálených oblastí. Ostrov má železnici spojující město Tenom s Tanjung Aru. Ve středu a v sobotu vstoupí na trase parní lokomotiva a vydá se na prohlídku turistů.
