San Francisco is an ideal city for exploring American culture. Travelers travel to San Francisco to ride along the Pacific Highway, sunbathe on the sandy beaches of Southern California, and finally get on the surf. How to get there?

If you arrive at the airport, use the following options to find yourself in San Francisco:

  • Bus.

    Flights SamTrans №292, №397 and №398 daily ply to the center. Air hub with distant blocks connect the directions №140 and №292. This is the cheapest way to be in the city. The road takes more than an hour.

  • Train.

    Every day from 08:00 to 22:00 from the Garage G/BART station stop, BART express trains run. He arrives at the central station of the city station.

Where to go?

On the first day, take a ride on the Cable Car tram to take a tour of the city and see the main sights. After that, go to the Golden Gate Bridge. Since 1937, the building hangs over the bay, connecting the city with the county Marinho. Its length is more than 2,000 meters, and its height is 230 meters. It is the largest suspension bridge in the country. Next, visit Lombard Street, which is especially loved by tourists and locals. Over the course of 2 kilometers it twists abruptly. This allowed planting flower beds and bushes on free sites.

If you want to relax in the shade of trees and enjoy the silence, rent a car and go to the Golden Gate Park. On its territory is open to visit the Japanese tea garden, flower conservatory. In Lincoln Park you can play golf and visit the Museum of the Legion of Honor.

Finish the day on the observation deck at Twin Peaks. Two picturesque hills with a height of more than 282 meters, offering a panorama of the whole city. On the second day, walk to Fisherman’s Wharf, where they sell fresh seafood and moor yachts and boats. There you can have breakfast toast with avocado and cod, crab and pickled shrimps in lemon juice. Walk a little further and admire the majestic ships on the pier Hyde Street. From here to the hills Presidio walk 20 minutes. There you can accidentally see a herd of deer and herons. From there, take the USABus bus and go to Alamo Square, where there are wooden houses of the XIX century. Behind them stands the Financial District. A 10-minute walk to visit the Museum of Modern Art, Art Gallery and Historical Museum. There are permanent exhibitions on animation, the local cable car, the African diaspora, and the life of the pioneers in San Francisco.

Spend the third day in the Sequoia National Park. It was founded at the end of the XIX century and became the second reserve after Yellowstone. Here grow centuries-old trees, redwoods. They reach up to 100 meters in height and 30-40 meters in width at the base. In a separate zone "Giant Forest" grow young trees. They were planted to restore the ecological balance after active logging in the XVIII century. In the park you can buy a ticket for the excursion or go hiking with a guide for 2 or 3 days. For children there are playgrounds among the trees and a panda park.

  • Anchor Oyster Bar (579 Castro Street)

    A small cafe in the center of the city, where the snacks and salads are tasted best. The menu changes every six months. The chef often chooses a single product and creates several dishes with it. For example, mussels in wine or with crispy potatoes, king prawns with mango and pineapple mousse, lobster with scallops under grape sauce.

  • Cliff House (1090 Point Lobos Ave)

    The restaurant was opened in 1858, and from that time it is open every day from 12:00 to 00:00. The terrace overlooks the ocean and the rookery of fur seals. In the middle of the XX century the second floor was completed. White tablecloths, wooden furniture, colored tiles on the wall and floor create a democratic and classic American atmosphere.
