Donovaly egy régi síközpont, amely az Alacsony-Tátra és a Nagy-Fátra csúcsainak határán található. 1945 után sportközpont épült itt, amely a szlovákok és a turisták kedvenc nyaralóhelyévé vált. Az utazók novembertől áprilisig érkeznek ide. Ez idő alatt ragyogóan süt a nap, és minimális csapadék esik.

A terület két síterületre oszlik: Zahradishte és Nova Gola. Az első tökéletes a kezdők és a tapasztalt síelők számára, a második pedig az extrémek számára. Kifejezetten a snowboardosok számára épült a "Fan Arena" park, ahol az ugródeszkákat és széles pályákat szerelték fel.

Donovalyban minden feltétel adott a változatos nyaraláshoz. Edzhet a fitneszklubban, lazíthat a gyógyfürdőben, bowlingozhat vagy vacsorázhat az étteremben.

Ha Donoval területére szeretne menni, akkor el kell jutnia Zólyom városába. Az üdülőhelytől 44 kilométerre található.
