Sousse is een havenstad in Tunesië, waar toeristen het hele jaar door komen voor strandvakanties en thalassotherapie. Conventioneel is de stad verdeeld in 4 delen: Medina, nieuw gebied en toeristisch gebied. Het strandseizoen duurt van mei tot oktober. Er is een kleine toeristenstroom in de herfstmaanden. In de winter kunt u uw vakantie besteden aan thalassotherapie of sightseeing.

Er is nog geen luchthaven in Sousse, dus u moet van tevoren weten hoe u in Sousse kunt komen. De dichtstbijzijnde luchthaven is Monastir, op 14 km van het centrum. Ook is er de internationale luchthaven van Enfidha in 49 kilometer. Je kunt de stad bereiken met het openbaar vervoer of met de taxi, maar het is de moeite waard om een transfer te boeken om geld en tijd te besparen.

Gelegen aan de kust van de Middellandse Zee, heeft de stad een geweldige geschiedenis. Sousse werd 2,5 duizend jaar geleden opgericht, maar Medina, de oude stad en de belangrijkste attractie, werd gebouwd in de 8-9 eeuw. Het fort wordt omlijst door een muur. Er zijn een grote moskee, het fort Riban, Kasbah (het hart van de medina), de stadsmarkt en musea binnen. Met uitkijkplatforms op een geweldig uitzicht op de stad en de zee. Medina voegt een speciale smaak toe aan de reis. Als u van plan bent Souvenirs te kopen, ga dan naar de plaatselijke winkels. Zorg ervoor dat u de al Khalef-toren, de catacomben van de Goede Herder en het archeologisch museum bezoekt.

Voor een strandvakantie is het beter om te kiezen in het noordelijke deel. Schone zee naar Port El Kantaoui, het centrale strand is gewoon druk. Centra voor thalassotherapie bevinden zich meestal in hotels.

Men gelooft dat Sousse een toevlucht is voor jongeren. Er zijn hier veel activiteiten: strandrust, extreme sporten, nachtfeesten en, natuurlijk, thalassotherapie. In Sousse zijn er partijen Bora-Bora, de grootste in Afrika. Een festival met carnaval en volksfeesten wordt gehouden in de zomer.

Je kunt met het openbaar vervoer de stad verkennen. Tussen de stadsbussen en taxi-luigi. In het Metropolitan gebied van Sousse-Monastir-Mahdia gaat de trein ondergronds door de Sahel. Er zijn 5 stations in de stad, waaronder de luchthaven van Monastir. Als u een uitstapje buiten de stad plant - huur een auto met chauffeur in Sousse. Bijvoorbeeld als u naar nabijgelegen resorts of de Sahara woestijn gaat.
