The car is in good condition, the cabin is clean, the driver is polite and did not bother me with talking. You know, when you sit in a taxi, then many taxi drivers constantly impose their topics on you. There was no such situation here. Na Cote D'azur sú lesklé a luxusné veci: budovy, reštaurácie, obchody a atrakcie. Nemenej módne je aj letisko Mandelieu, ktoré obsluhuje iba charterové a obchodné lety. Ako sa dostať z letiska Mandelieu do Cannes? Z mesta a späť sa dostanete len autom. Cestujúci si môžu vziať taxík a prepraviť sa na letisko Mandelieu, ako aj prenajať si auto.

Letisko bolo otvorené v roku 1905 a posledné stavebné práce boli dokončené v roku 1930. Odvtedy začal Mandelieu vykonávať osobné lety aerolínií Air France a na dlhú dobu bolo hlavným leteckým uzlom na Cote D'azur. S rastom osobnej dopravy sa stalo nemožné vziať veľký Airbus, takže pravidelné lety sa presunuli do Nice.

Letisko je obklopené zelenými kopcami a je tu záhrada s bazénmi. Terminál je vybavený všetkou potrebnou infraštruktúrou: sú tu reštaurácie, VIP čakárne, konferenčné miestnosti a mnoho ďalšieho.
