The data on my trip to me was sent to the post: car make, license plate, driver's name. When I arrived at the airport, the car with the driver was already waiting for me. The driver helped me with the luggage and we drove off. I know the city very well, but he showed me several bypasses where it is possible to save time and not stand in traffic jams. The car is in good condition, the cabin is clean, the driver is polite and did not bother me with talking. You know, when you sit in a taxi, then many taxi drivers constantly impose their topics on you. There was no such situation here. Na Cote D'azur sú lesklé a luxusné veci: budovy, reštaurácie, obchody a atrakcie. Nemenej módne je aj letisko Mandelieu, ktoré obsluhuje iba charterové a obchodné lety. Ako sa dostať z letiska Mandelieu do Cannes? Z mesta a späť sa dostanete len autom. Cestujúci si môžu vziať taxík a prepraviť sa na letisko Mandelieu, ako aj prenajať si auto.

Letisko bolo otvorené v roku 1905 a posledné stavebné práce boli dokončené v roku 1930. Odvtedy začal Mandelieu vykonávať osobné lety aerolínií Air France a na dlhú dobu bolo hlavným leteckým uzlom na Cote D'azur. S rastom osobnej dopravy sa stalo nemožné vziať veľký Airbus, takže pravidelné lety sa presunuli do Nice.

Letisko je obklopené zelenými kopcami a je tu záhrada s bazénmi. Terminál je vybavený všetkou potrebnou infraštruktúrou: sú tu reštaurácie, VIP čakárne, konferenčné miestnosti a mnoho ďalšieho.
