Donovaly sú staré lyžiarske stredisko, ktoré sa nachádza na rozhraní štítov Nízkych Tatier a Veľkej Fatry. Po roku 1945 tu bolo vybudované športové stredisko, ktoré sa stalo obľúbeným dovolenkovým miestom Slovákov a turistov. Cestovatelia sem prichádzajú od novembra do apríla. Celý ten čas svieti slnko a je minimum zrážok.

Územie je rozdelené do dvoch lyžiarskych oblastí: Záhradište a Nová Gola. Prvý je ideálny pre začiatočníkov a skúsených lyžiarov, druhý osloví extrémistov. Špeciálne pre snowboardistov bol vybudovaný park "Fan Arena", kde boli postavené odrazové mostíky a vybavené široké trate.

Na Donovaloch sú vytvorené všetky podmienky pre pestrú dovolenku. Môžete si zacvičiť vo fitnes klube alebo relaxovať vo wellness centre, ísť si zahrať bowling alebo sa najesť v reštaurácii.

Ak plánujete ísť na územie Donoval, musíte sa dostať do mesta Zvolen. Nachádza sa 44 kilometrov od rezortu.
