Lentokenttä avattiin vuonna 1905, ja viimeiset rakennustyöt valmistuivat vuonna 1930. Matkustajaliikenteen kasvun myötä ison Airbusin ottaminen kävi mahdottomaksi, joten säännölliset lennot siirtyivät Nizzaan.

Lentokenttää ympäröivät vihreät kukkulat, ja siellä on puutarha uima-altaineen. Terminaalissa on kaikki tarvittava infrastruktuuri: siellä on ravintoloita, VIP-odotustiloja, kokoustiloja ja paljon muuta.
