Het skigebied Yllas ligt in Lapland. Het skigebied is opgedeeld in twee gebieden: Yllas Ski en Iso-Yllas, waartussen liften zijn. Van december tot mei kun je op de beste hellingen van Finland rijden, het hoogseizoen is februari-maart.

Het resort heeft het meest uitgebreide netwerk van skipistes. Hun totale lengte is meer dan 250 kilometer. Beginners en fans zullen het heerlijk vinden om op de hellingen van "Pomppern" en "Family Nest" te rijden. Voor professionals zijn de circuits "Formulamyaki", "Yattipitkya" en "Ilypka" geschikt. Snowboarders kunnen oefenen bij Skin Fan en Mantaine Dew.

Yllas heeft alles om uw vakantie te diversifiëren. U kunt zelf een bijzondere sneeuwscootersafari regelen of een wandeling in de bergen maken. We raden aan om met rendieren te sleeën en te gaan ijsvissen. Voor reizigers maken ze excursies naar de "Lapland Hell": een diep meer tussen hoge steile kliffen. In de X-XII eeuw aanbaden de lokale bewoners hier hun heidense goden.
