Bishkek is the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. The city is situated in the Chuy Valley at the piedmont of the Tian Shan, the picturesque part of the country. The Ala-Archa and the Alamedin rivers go through Bishkek.

How to get to Bishkek? You can go by bus from Almaty (Kazakhstan), large towns of Siberia such as Omsk and Novosibirsk and from Kashgar (China). Prices and the schedule change depending on a season. While going by train to the national parks, you will see various yurts where it is worth to taste the local cuisine: pilaf, Laghman (lamian), chorba and manty.
