Transfer from Palm Beach International Airport
Getting from Palm Beach International Airport to Downtown
Miami is a southeastern city in Florida on the shore of the Atlantic ocean, which makes it a holiday hotspot. Being the seventh largest U.S. city, Miami is served by three main commercial airports:
- Miami International Airport
- Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport
- Palm Beach International Airport
Aside from that, the city has numerous private or business airports, heliports, and seaplane ports. When flying to Miami, the most obvious airport options are Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach for that matter won’t be your first choice due to its distance from Downtown Miami. It’s located far out of the city, over a hundred kilometers away. But if you’re staying in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach or Boca Raton, this airport is a great choice. The airport though doesn’t have a good reputation because of delays and cancellation statistics, so when choosing the airport, consider that information.
The nearest city to Palm Beach Airport is West Palm Beach, which is one of the wealthiest cities in South Florida. It’s a vacation hotspot, offering travelers the myriad of luxurious resorts, exquisite mansions and historic landmarks. Aside from that, West Palm Beach is famous for its beautiful beaches, it’s a hotspot for water sports like snorkeling and scuba diving. In West Palm Beach you get the best of both worlds—a city pace with vacation vibes.
So how exactly do you get from Palm Beach International Airport to West Palm Beach? Which transfer is best for you depends on your budget and where your destination is.

Tri-Rail is a commuter rail line linking Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach cities in Florida. The Tri prefix stands for the three counties served by the railroad.
